The annual pre-season friendly against Watton was held where Bradenham hosted the fixture. A pre cursor to the season which as always was held in good spirit, a great atmosphere, with pleasant weather conditions Bradenham fielded 12 players with Watton fielding 18 players making 30 in total which enable us to run 5 rinks of triples. A pleasant day was had all played in a good atmosphere. The score was Bradenham winning 3 blocks to two, but the points went to Watton 84 to 71 A fantastic buffet was laid on by the Bradenham players, a raffle was held where £72 was raised. |

The Watton Charity Competition which as of this year replaces the Coral Cup, had representation from Bradenham, Harling, Hingham, Shropham, Watton & Wicklewood Bowls Clubs, each providing two teams. The game played over 18 ends saw Bradenham 'A' (comprised mainly of new members) beat Watton 17-0 and Bradenham 'B' lost 18-10 to Harling. Well done to all those who played, the final team positions are as follows: 1st Shropham 2nd Wicklewood 3rd Hingham 4th Bradenham 5th Watton 6th Harling |

The Finals Day, is the culmination of the Internal Club competition taking place, an early start was decided upon due to the wet weather closing in and the Ladies Singles, Gents Singles and the Open Pairs commenced with many members showing their support throughout. The results are as follows (winners in BOLD)
The Roy MacDonald-Jackson Shield which goes to the member who achieved the highest average throughout the season on Sunday and mid-week rollup/drives. The winner was Pete Clements with an average of 7.154. The Green is now closed; we held our Autumn tidy up day on Sunday 21st September everyone who helped was treated to Sausages butties and a cup of Tea. Our next event is the AGM on Sunday 12th September at 2.00p with Winter Social events to be announced. |
