The season is well under way with several games played and all our new members involved in the action who have enjoyed the team spirit and guidance from our older members.
The Age Concern League have played six matches with five wins and one loss, a good start to the season. The Mid Norfolk League have played a Cup match where they got a bye in the 1st round. The 2nd round we were pitched against Reepham, played over two legs where Bradenham won the 1st leg 62 – 31, giving us a 31-point lead. The 2nd leg played at Reepham, Bradenham lost by 16 points. 57 to 41, giving Bradenham an overall win of 15 points which takes us into the semi-finals. The Ashill Triples commenced their games on the 27th May although the first match was postponed due to rain, we wish them well and I’ll report on their successes next month.
The Bowls Club ran a Target Bowls stall at Bradenham Village Fete where the highest score achieved was 100 by a local resident, many thanks to all those for your contribution and support.
Roll ups/Drives continue every Sunday at 2.00pm for everyone to hone their skills before matches and an opportunity for new members to come and have a look and receive some free expert guidance. All we ask is you wear flat-soled shoes with no heels to protect the playing green.
