Nearing the End
Bradenham Bowls Club
As the Club enters the last full month of competition there is still plenty to play for. All teams have league and cup matches especially the ‘B’ team in the Age Concern League who have a good opportunity to top the league, while others will be playing for pride. One drawback has been unfortunately the number of players who have been unwell or injured during the season and with being a small club this brings added pressures for team selection.
The round robin phase of the inter club competition is reaching its climax and by the middle of August players will know who are progressing to the quarter finals and eventually to the grand final in September.
Many members continue to enjoy Sunday afternoon ‘roll ups’, to exercise, have a cup of tea and a ‘mardle’ with friends. Activities usually commence around 2pm and everyone is invited. During August there will be an additional ‘roll up’ on Wednesdays at 2pm.
