April Start
Bradenham Bowls Club
Message from Bradenham Bowls Club
In accordance with the government’s roadmap, from Monday April 12, the Bowls Club has now moved into ‘Step 2’. If improvements continue apace then Steps 3 and 4 will be implemented on May 17 and June 21. The changes are clearly shown on the Bowls England website, www.bowlsengland.com and at the Clubhouse. This will allow for Roll/Ups and Drives to recommence from Sunday April 18 at 2 for 2.30pm start. A strict Rule of 6 or 2 households with 2 metre distancing will be in place. However, despite restrictions a very warm and friendly welcome will be given to anybody and everyone who turns up to participate, especially those wishing to try bowls for the first time.
Due to Covid guidelines the usual pre-season meeting, for new and existing members, will not be able to take place. The Committee have therefore made the following decisions:
- Membership (Full) fees @ £30 per person should be paid prior to their 1st match to comply with the Club’s Insurance.
- Associate Members fees are at £10.
- Rinks Fees remain at £2.00 (home or away)
- Roll Ups & Sunday Drives remain at Members £1 Non-members £2
Thursday May 6 at 10.00am will be the Club Tidy Up Day where any help preparing the Clubhouse and Grounds for the forthcoming season will be appreciated greatly.
Despite being a small Club, members like to take part in competitions, pitting their skills and tactics against other teams. With that in mind teams are entered into the following leagues, Ashill Triples, Dereham League, Age Concern and Mid Norfolk (roving cot). The Mid Norfolk is a new addition for this summer. Unfortunately, inter Club competitions will not be able to take place this season.
Further details of future events and changes to current schedules will be posted on the Club’s website www.bradenhambowlsclub.co.uk Bradenham Community page on Facebook and the Mardle.
